Invitation issued to tender for the new North Zealand Hospital designed by Herzog & de Meuron and Vilhelm Lauritzen Architects
Herzog & de Meuron and Vilhelm Lauritzen Architects have designed a new hospital for Denmark. The New North Zealand Hospital has a budget of DKK 4.2bn, and the invitation to tender as contractor is currently out. They are looking for a contractor who is …..
….. committed to a highly digitised construction process. The ambition is to create a digital platform that includes information such as design documents, VR and correspondence between the different parties to ensure its active use in all aspects.
Project Director for the new hospital, Henrik Schødts, said, “With a project of this magnitude it is critical that every detail is connected and that information about the construction is accessible to all parties – from the client’s adviser to construction site employees. That is why we are searching for a main contractor with the same digital ambition as ours. All details must be planned and monitored to create the building we envision.”
The tender winner will be announced at the end of May 2019.
