61% of architects surveyed for the latest European Architectural Barometer believe it is either unlikely or highly unlikely that the majority of building materials will be produced in China by 2030.
This is just one of the findings from the latest survey which focuses on future construction and material trends. This research is conducted every two years in order to track the relevant trends in terms of which building techniques & materials/solutions European architects expect to use more of, or less of, now and in the upcoming years.
Amongst the products architects expect to use more of are LED lighting, heat pumps and water & energy saving fittings. The products they expect to use less of include carpet rolls, radiators and bituminous roof shingles.
