The 2019 edition of Le Mondial du Bâtiment delivered all its promises!   The five-day trade exhibition – gathering IDEOBAIN, INTERCLIMA and BATIMAT – brought together members of the building industry with one goal in mind: shaping the future of construction.

Le Mondial du Bâtiment hit its targets, achieving ….

….. a 2% increase in comparison with the last show in 2017, both with regard to the number of specifiers and visitors coming from outside the Paris-region.   Keen to play their part in transforming the construction sector, a total of 284,000 trade visitors came together over five days in an atmosphere universally described as warm and friendly.

All the key industry players took this international event as an opportunity to prove the sector has taken the road to modernisation.   This statement was expressed across all sectors of the three shows through a number of unifying themes, including the industry-wide roll-out of digitisation, support for industrialising new builds, massification of energy efficiency upgrades, reducing environmental impacts and championing waste management.

The concerted effort from professional associations and organisations inspired a very positive dynamic, and prompted four ministers and secretaries of state – Mr. Julien Denormandie, Mrs. Emmanuelle Wargon, Mrs. Brune Poirson and Mrs. Agnès Pannier-Runacher – to visit the show and express their support to the building industry.

Guillaume Loizeaud explained the reasons behind this success: “Through the sector-wide initiative we have started two years ago, we’ve managed to bring together construction professionals at an event offering qualitative opportunities for networking and generating business leads.   With a vast programme of events and show highlights, Le Mondial has shed light on emerging trends, including Construction Tech®, Hors-Site® (Offsite), circular economy and low carbon building. So the public authorities were absolutely right to choose Le Mondial as a platform to reveal their public policies.”
