Construct UK is delighted to be supporting South East Construction Expo once again – the industry’s leading exhibition, conference and networking event for the region.
The Expo will provide attendees and participants with access to information on the latest industry developments, technology and project opportunities through an extensive programme of seminars, demonstrations and presentations. One such feature is ‘The Silka Element Challenge‘, a live demonstration by Xella, Masonry Frame Systems (MFS), and Lissmac Cranes, aiming to complete the construction of a one bedroom apartment (structural walls) at the show.

….. visible throughout the day and attendees to the show are encouraged to visit the ‘Xella Lounge’ situated behind the construction area to learn more about the Silka Element system large format blocks and thin joint methods. Visitors will be able to observe the MFS team hard at work laying each Silka block, using the Lissmac mini-cranes, in approximately six minutes. The speed of construction has to be seen to be believed.
Xella will also be showcasing their development of the Hololens and Virtual Reality AI system in their Building of the Future presentation.
