Construct UK is delighted to be once again supporting UK Construction Week, the country’s largest event for the built environment.

The organisers are working to create a diverse and inclusive programme, designed to inspire, foster collaboration, share best practice, and arm the industry with the tools to prosper as it heads into an exciting future. In order to support these activities they are calling for papers and speakers from across the sectors.

Themes and topics include:

  • Digital Construction: Construction is embracing digitalisation, how fast do we need to adopt to become world leaders and is it the key to unlocking the next generation of built environment professionals?
  • Disrupting the industry delivery models: Who is doing it, and how can it be done? What can we gain, and how to avoid repetition of past failures?
  • Disruptive forces: Which industries can we learn from? Is offsite construction going to meet its potential? AI, AR, Drones & Robots, how will they play their part?
  • House Building Exemplars: How the industry can meet the challenge laid down for 2020.
  • How to improve Equality, Diversity & Inclusion? How do we retain skills, drive recruitment and retention in construction, the benefits to ED&I, and why it is so fundamentally important.
  • Infrastructure Post-Brexit: Planning and delivering major infrastructure projects in post-Brexit Britain.
  • Innovation: Cutting-edge innovations to shape construction in the next 5 years.
  • Regeneration & Development: Projects and initiatives from around the UK that demonstrate the ability of construction to improve the economic and social fabric of a region.
