The AJ100 is celebrating its 25th year, and EMAP Publishing (publishers of the Architects Journal) have announced the launch of the ‘AJ100 Festival’ a virtual event that will take place from 14th to the 18th September 2020.
The AJ100 survey is the definitive record of the UK’s largest architecture practices and rewards achievements made by these firms each year.
The AJ100 practices, measured by the number of architects employed in the UK, would usually be invited to attend the annual dinner where the winners of the dedicated AJ100 award categories would be revealed.

Due to the current situation with Covid-19, the publishers are unable to host the usual awards night at the Tower of London, so instead are inviting industry professionals to join them for the virtual AJ100 Festival – a week-long programme of celebration and learning centred around this year’s AJ100 practices.
The AJ100 has been transformed this year in response to the climate emergency. The daily festival programme features AJ100 awards announcements, case studies, interviews, panel talks and virtual fringe events all focused on cutting-edge sustainability. The AJ100 Festival is a chance to not only celebrate this year’s winners, but also to gain valuable insights as the organisers shine a spotlight on the practices and individuals pushing for meaningful social and environmental change in a challenging time.
