USP Marketing Consultancy, based in the Netherlands, has published a new report on the construction decision-making process and, in particular, the contractors’ role.

The construction market is a complex market with an even more complex decision making process. Unlike with, for example, fast moving consumer goods, in the construction industry there are many actors involved in the decision-making for materials and/or brands at any given time. Recently, USP tried to uncover this complex web of decision-making processes from the perspective of the installers and the architects. So, in this Contractor Monitor, they did the same for the general contractor/builder in Europe, especially because in some European countries they are gaining more influence on the building process. The report has found that French contractors have the strongest decision-making power in Europe.

The full report (covering 8 countries) is now available at a reduced cost for new clients, and will provide a deep dive on the general background of the contractors in Europe, their turnover and order book developments and need-to-know insights on the influence contractors have on the brand and material choices.
