According to the latest survey from Inside Housing, ‘the country’s top 50 developing housing associations built more than 40,000 homes in 2019/20, up roughly 7% on the previous year …’
The commentary for the survey points to a number of challenges facing the sector, including the impact of COVID-19 and Brexit and, when looking ahead, estimates that the five-year pipeline of the top 50 builders totals 199,387 homes: this is down from last year’s estimation of nearly 250,000 homes. However, when considering these projections, the commentary emphasises the significant levels of uncertainty facing the sector at the present time and points out that a number of the largest builders could not provide any, or very limited, data on their future pipelines.
Our Marketing to Housing Associations feature includes a market overview and details of key media channels and support for companies targeting the sector.
